Preparation of fluoroalkoxy or fluorophenoxy substituted N-heterocycles from heterocyclic N-oxides and polyfluoroalcohols

Abstract

A novel and efficient approach to introduce fluorine-containing groups into N-heterocycles was reported. In this work, appropriate polyfluoroalcohols were used as the fluorine source, PyBroP as the activating agent, DCE as the solvent and silver carbonate as the base. The obvious advantage of the process is that the fluorination compounds were produced in moderate to good yields and with excellent regioselectivity in most cases. Moreover, this reaction also features remarkable functional group compatibility and broad substrate scope.
