Peroxynitrite-biosignal-responsive polymer micelles as intracellular hypersensitive nanoprobes†
Abstract
Copolymerization of a trifluoromethyl ketone-bearing monomer and a rhodamine monomer has led to the formation of peroxynitrite (ONOO−) signaling molecule-responsive polymer fluorescent micelles. Even with only 10−9 M of endogenous ONOO−, it can activate micellar disassembly, quantitatively illuminating nanoparticle fluorescence for mapping intracellular ONOO−.
