Synthesis, photophysical, antibacterial and molecular docking studies on aromatic ring core-containing rhodamine B decorated triazole bridged dendrimers†
Abstract
The synthesis of rhodamine B decorated triazole bridged dendrimers with various aromatic cores is described by a convergent approach using click chemistry. The intensity of their absorption and emission bands increases upon increasing the dendritic generation. All the newly synthesized triazole bridged dendrimers exhibit antibacterial activity against human pathogens viz., B. subtilis, S. aureus, E. coli and K. pneumonia, which is also supported by molecular docking studies.
