Modulation of the optical color of Au nanoclusters and its application in ratiometric photoluminescence detection

Abstract

The pursuit of a simple and controllable method for optical color modulation of noble metal nanoclusters (NCs) is still challenging. Herein, we report a novel strategy to modulate the optical color of glutathione (GSH) stabilized Au NCs based on a unique manner of Ag(I) doping and successfully apply this strategy in ratiometric photoluminescence (PL) detection.
