Graphene/carbon composite nanofibers for NO oxidation at room temperature

Abstract

Novel composite carbon nanofibers (CNFs) were prepared via embedding reduced graphene oxide (rGO) sheets in a polyacrylonitrile (PAN) precursor by electrospinning for room temperature oxidation of NO (50 ppm). It is proposed that rGO sheets possess catalytically active sites that play an important role in catalytic room temperature oxidation of NO.
