A facile strategy for the synthesis of hierarchical TiO2/CdS hollow sphere heterostructures with excellent visible light activity

Abstract

A facile and efficient strategy for the synthesis of hierarchical TiO2/CdS hollow sphere (HS) heterostructures has been developed. Evaluation of the TiO2/CdS HS heterostructures for the degradation of rhodamine B (RhB) and methyl orange (MO) revealed that they exhibit excellent photocatalytic activity under visible light irradiation.
