Abstract

Y-doped PbWO₄ mesocrystals with controllable morphologies, from convex quadrangle to concave erythrocyte, which exhibit tunable optical properties, are obtained by simply increasing the Y³⁺ doping concentrations. A doping-induced structural disorder mechanism was tentatively proposed to understand the evolutions of PbWO₄ mesocrystals.
