High-efficiency loading in small mesopores (2–3 nm) forming a matrix type controlled drug delivery nanosystem†
Abstract
Herein a high-efficiency controlled release nanosystem for fluoroquinolone hydrochlorides was established by a characteristic vacuum-recrystal loaded process based on small pore mesoporous MCM-41. The system exhibited great drug loading capacity (62.31%), matrix type sustained-release behavior (5 days) and excellent biocompatibility in vitro.
