The interesting and superior hydrogenation properties of potassium-doped LiNH2 and its ternary mixed-cationic amide

Abstract

It was found that the hydrogenation kinetics for the LiNH2 system can be drastically improved by introducing a small amount of KNH2 or KH (5 mol%). The reason for the improvement is that KNH2 or KH can interact with LiNH2 forming a KLi3(NH2)4 ternary amide phase with superior reactivity to hydrogen (H2).
