A chemical strategy to reinforce electrically pumped ultraviolet random lasing from ZnO films

Abstract

We use a simple chemical etching to achieve surface texturing of ZnO films. Such surface texturing gives the devices based on Au/SiO2/ZnO structures decreased threshold currents and increased output powers of electrically pumped random lasing from ZnO films, compared with those of the devices which used the ZnO films without surface texturing.
