A Pt(ii) isopolytungstate: synthesis and crystal structure

Abstract

A Pt(II) containing isopolytungstate complex [Pt2W10O36]8− (1) has been obtained by reaction of K2PtCl4 and Na2WO4; the polyoxoanion consists of two lacunary Lindqvist fragments {W5O18}6− connected by two Pt(II) in square planar coordination.
