Morphology and growth mechanism of multileg ZnO nanostructures by chemical vapor deposition

Abstract

Multileg ZnO nanostructures were fabricated using a chemical vapor deposition process, and the growth mechanism is stated in particular so as to provide a valuable model in understanding the crystal growth mechanism at a nanometer scale. The metallic Sn has unusual effects on the formation of the multileg ZnO nanostructures.
