Separation of impurities from solution by selective co-crystal formation

Abstract

The potential use of selective co-crystal formation as a means to remove an impurity from a solution is demonstrated using ibuprofen and ketoprofen as a model system. A strategy for selecting the optimal co-former, co-former concentration, and the solvent for the separation process is discussed.
