A novel 3-D thioindate-thioantimonate based on the linkages of large heterometallic {In2Sb2S9} clusters and 1-D [In2Sb2S84−]n chains

Abstract

A novel 3-D thioindate-thioantimonate [(Co(en)3)]3(en)In6Sb6S21·H2O (1, en = ethylenediamine) has been solvothermally synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, IR, UV/Vis, fluorescence spectroscopy, powder X-ray diffraction and single crystal X-ray diffraction. 1 contains large heterometallic {In2Sb2S9} clusters and 1-D [In2Sb2S84−]n chains, which are interconnected to form a new 3-D In–Sb–S framework with large 20-ring channels. 1 exhibits strong blue luminescence with the emission maximum occurring around 455 nm.
