A one-dimensional coordination polymer exhibiting simultaneous spin-crossover and semiconductor behaviour

Abstract

A rare organosulfur one-dimensional coordination polymer, [Co(C9H6NS)2], was synthesized by the reaction between the 8-mercaptoquinoline and cobalt acetate salts in EtOH, which shows strong magnetic coupling and the presence of spin-glassy and spin-crossover phenomena with simultaneous semiconductor behaviour.
