An overview of quantifying and screening drugs of abuse in biological samples: Past and present

Abstract

The quantification and screening of drugs of abuse in a range of biological samples is a requirement in a plethora of areas. We provide a comprehensive overview of recent developments in this emerging area exploring drug classes with up-to-date tables of recent methodologies and a detailed review of subsequent investigations with an emphasis on forensic applications.
