Microdrawing and highlighting a reactive surface

Abstract

A novel method is proposed for using scanning electrochemical microscopy to draw pre-defined patterns of reactive spots onto conducting substrates that may then be functionalized—ad hoc and at will—with any molecular species containing an amine or other nucleophilic group, including proteins and enzymes.
