Recoverable and recyclable magnetic nanoparticle supported aluminium isopropoxide for ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone

Abstract

Magnetic nanoparticle supported aluminium isopropoxide is demonstrated as a new catalyst for the ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone. The catalyst can be easily recovered under a magnetic field and reused, yielding poly(caprolactone) with negligible metal residue.
