Large-scale, uniform, single-crystalline Cd(OH)2 hexagonal platelets for Cd-based functional applications

Abstract

Large-scale, uniform, single-crystalline Cd(OH)2 hexagonal platelets were synthesized via a simple EDTA-2Na assisted hydrothermal route with the hexagonal edge lengths ranging from 140–200 nm and a fixed thickness of 80 nm depending on the reaction temperature, which could be converted into Cd-based functional materials.
