Crystal structure and chiral recognition of supramolecular complex composed of tris(1,2-diaminoethane)cobalt(iii) carbonate and α-cyclodextrin, [Co(en)3]2(CO3)3·2(α-CDX)

Abstract

The novel CoIIICDX supramolecular complex [Co(en)3]2(CO3)3·2(α-CDX) (1) was prepared and the circular dichroism spectrum showed that complex 1 is 25% Λ-rich (Λ : Δ = 62.5 : 37.5). X-ray crystallography revealed the crystal structure of complex 1 and the reasonable chiral recognition mechanism of this system.
