Transparent Gd2O3 : Eu phosphor layer derived from exfoliated layered gadolinium hydroxidenanosheets

Abstract

The positively charged layered gadolinium hydroxide nanosheets were produced by exfoliation in formamide and was applied to fabricate highly transparent and highly luminescent Gd2O3 : Eu layers on quartz glass by simple evaporation and subsequent annealing.
