Efficient protein renaturation using tunable hemifluorinated anionic surfactants as additives

Abstract

We show that hemifluorinated anionic surfactants are effective as renaturing additives for bovine carbonic anhydrase (CAB) below their critical micelle concentration (CMC) providing high refolding yields for thermally and chemically denatured protein.
