Hybrids between classical and metallacalix[4]arenes based on uracil and cis-PtIIL2 entities (L = P(Ph)3 or L2 = 2,2′-bipyridine)

Abstract

The combination of bis(1-methyluracil-5-yl)methane with square-planar PtII entities yields cyclic compounds with the heterocyclic uracil rings alternatingly linked by methylene groups and PtII ions.
