Observation of the least stable conformer of 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic anions in a samarium coordination architecture

Abstract

The least stable conformer a,a-trans-chdc2 of the flexible ligand, 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic anion, is observed in a samarium coordination polymer, namely [Sm2(H2O)4(e,e-trans-chdc)2(a,a-trans-chdc)]·6H2O, which contains mixed e,e-trans-chdc2 and a,a-trans-chdc2 (2 : 1).
