Controlled growth of monocrystalline rutile nanoshuttles in anatase TiO2 particles under mild conditions

Abstract

A controlled growth of heterogeneous nanostructure of well-dispersed 1D monocrystalline rutile and 0D anatase TiO2 is achieved under mild conditions by acid peptization of lamellar titanate which formed after NaOH treatment of the hydrolysate of titanium tetra-n-butoxide.
