Two novel uranyl–organic frameworks with cyclohexane-1,3-dicarboxylate ligands

Abstract

The reaction of uranyl ions with cyclohexane-1,3-dicarboxylic acid (H2CHDC) in the absence of templating species gives a 2D framework, whereas in the presence of 15-crown-5, a 1D ladder-like assemblage is formed, with the templating species being held by hydrogen bonding.
