Novel N(←L)2 species with two lone pairs on nitrogen: systems isoelectronic to carbodicarbenes

Abstract

A new bonding environment has been identified for nitrogen in chemical species with the general formula N(←L)2 (I), in which the N atom is characterized by two lone pairs.
