Sulfonic acid functionalized crystal-like mesoporous benzene–silica as a remarkable water-tolerant catalyst

Abstract

Here we report that sulfonated crystal-like benzenesilica is much more robust and active than conventionally used periodic mesoporous silica for catalyzing aqueous organic reactions.
