Prenucleation and coalescence of cobalt nanoclusters mediated by multivalent calixarene complexes

Abstract

The formation of cobalt nanoclusters from polynuclear Co–alkyne species can be directed by multivalent calixarene ligands; thermochemical studies of Concalixarenes reveal the influence of multivalency in prenucleation and postnuclear growth processes.
