Abstract

The [M3L3]3+ metallo-macrocycles with syn, syn, syn conformation, self-assembled from crown ether functionalized 1,10-phenanthroline Pd(II) nitrates with naphthanoimidazole, bind a solvent CH3CN within the naphthanoimidazolate-built cavity through C–H⋯π interactions in the crystalline state.
