Concerted attack of frustrated Lewis acid–base pairs on olefinic double bonds: a theoretical study

Abstract

A computational approach reveals cooperative action of the preorganized acidic and basic centers of the frustrated P(t-Bu)3/B(C6F5)3 Lewis pair on olefinic bonds as the key to the observed regioselective addition reaction.
