Quantitation of hydroxylated byproduct formation in a Saccharomyces cerevisiae Δ9 desaturating system

Abstract

The distribution of products obtained from stearoyl CoA Δ9 desaturase-mediated oxidation in Saccharomyces cerevisiae has been measured directly for the first time using an ω-fluorinated fatty acid substrate.
