Synthesis and characterization of intercalation compounds of stilbazolium chromophores into layered vanadyl phosphate

Abstract

Five new inorganic–organic hybrid nanocomposite compounds were obtained by inserting stilbazolium chromophores into the interlamellar space of VOPO4. The intercalation compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), infrared spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The second-order nonlinear optical property of these intercalation compounds are briefly discussed.
