First transition-metal complexes of S[double bond, length as m-dash]P(NHBut)3

Abstract

The first transition-metal (RhI, MoVI, NiII) complexes of S[double bond, length as m-dash]P(NHBut)31 have been synthesized via metathetical reactions of mono-lithiated 1 and [Rh(CO)2Cl]2, (ButN)2MoCl2(dme) and NiBr2(dme). Surprisingly in the molecular structure of the NiII-complex both hard–soft (N,S) and hard–hard (N,N′) chelation modes of 1 are realized.
