Solvent-free ketone hydrogenations catalyzed by molybdenum complexes

Abstract

Et2C[double bond, length as m-dash]O is hydrogenated under solvent-free conditions using a catalyst prepared by hydride abstraction from HMo(CO)251-C5H4(CH2)2PCy2]; the catalyst functions at low catalyst loadings (<0.4 mol%).
