Synthesis and crystal structure characterization of a novel eighteen-tin-nuclear macrocyclic complex

Abstract

The reaction of sodium salt dihydrate of 2-mercaptonicotinic acid with di-n-butyltin dichloride in benzene affords a novel eighteen-tin-nuclear macrocyclic complex 1, which is a highly centrosymmetric 48-member macrocycle containing two centrosymmetric ladders of hydrolysis.
