{FeCl[tBuN(SiMe2)]2O}2: The first multinuclear iron(iii) complex exhibiting spin-admixture

Abstract

The first iron(III) complexes with a chelating diamido ligand, {FeX[tBuN(SiMe2)]2O}2 (X = Cl, Br), form halide-bridged dimers in which each iron(III) centre exhibits 3/2, 5/2 quantum spin admixture; the two metals show weak antiferromagnetic coupling.
