A molecular level study of complex formation between putidaredoxin and cytochrome P450 by scanning tunnelling microscopy

Abstract

An STM study has been performed to monitor the 1 ∶ 1 complex formation process between a single molecule of putidaredoxin and a single molecule of its redox partner cytochrome P450 at a gold(111)/water interface. The complex that has been proposed as important for intermolecular electron transfer has been observed along with other complexes with different inter-molecular distances and angular arrangements.
