Rational synthesis of α-MnO2 single-crystal nanorods

Abstract

α-MnO2 single-crystal nanorods with diameters 20–80 nm and lengths up to 6 μm have been prepared through a low-temperature liquid-phase comproportionation method, which involves no catalysts or templates and may be adjusted to prepare α-MnO2 single-crystal nanorods in large scale.
