A novel luminescent copper(i) complex containing an acetylenediide-bridged, butterfly-shaped tetranuclear core

Abstract

A novel luminescent acetylenediide-bridged tetranuclear copper(I) complex [Cu4(μ-Ph2Ppypz)44- η12-C[triple bond, length half m-dash]C)](ClO4)2 [Ph2Ppypz = 2-(diphenylphosphino-6-pyrazol-1-yl)pyridine] has been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography.
