Theoretical study of triple bonds to germanium: relative stabilities of germanitriles and germaimines

Abstract

Both B3LYP and CCSD(T) computational results suggest that fluorine substitution can dramatically stabilize FGe[triple bond, length half m-dash]N, with respect to Ge[double bond, length half m-dash]NF, both from a kinetic and from a thermodynamic viewpoint.
