Abstract
A chemical rearrangement under hydrothermal conditions resulted in an unprecedented interpenetrating structure with two covalently bonded open frameworks of different dimensionality: {[Cu2(IN)4·3H2O]·[Cu 2(IN)4·2H2O]}·3H2 O (IN = isonicotinate).
