Synthesis and characterization of new metal-free phthalocyanine substituted with four diazatetrathiamacrobicyclic moieties

Abstract

A novel metal-free phthalocyanine 3 fused in peripheral position with four diazatetrathiabicyclomacrocycles has been prepared by bicyclotetramerization of cryptand 1 and its isoindolinediimine derevative 2; the new compounds were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, 1H and 13C NMR, UV–VIS and MS spectroscopy.
