Abstract

[(MeCN)3PdCl]+, generated in situ, reversibly disproportionates to give [(MeCN)2PdCl2] and [(MeCN)4Pd]2+. The neutral species is a reactive and highly regioselective catalyst for 1,6-diene cycloisomerisation.
