Concomitant ferro- and antiferromagnetic interactions in an H-bonded molecular ribbon duplex

Abstract

The title architecture is formed by self-association of a nitronyl aminoxyl substituted triazole derivative designed for multi-center H-bonding; moreover close π–π stacking of the resulting network produces duplex structures, as found by X-ray analysis, in which both ferro- and antiferromagnetic interactions take place.
