A calix[4]arene receptor modified with 8-hydroxyquinoline for supramolecular energy transfer

Abstract

A new calix[4]arene receptor modified with 8-hydroxyquinoline has been synthesised, exhibiting luminescence and energy transfer properties in the presence of coordinated Eu3+ and Tb3+ ions.
