Syntheses and crystal structure of [Li4Zn(μ 32-ddbfo)2(μ,η2-ddbfo)3Cl(CH3CN)2]·2CH3CN, [Na4(μ,η2-ddbfo)4(CH3CN)4] and [Zn2(μ,η1-ddbfo)2Cl2(py)2] aggregates

Abstract

The synthesis, characterization and the X-ray structure of the three title complexes containing the 2,3-dihydro-2,2-dimethyl-7-benzofuranoxide (ddbfo) ligand are reported. The structure of [Li4Zn(μ32-ddbfo)2(μ,η2-ddbfo)3Cl(CH3CN)2] includes four lithium and one zinc tetrahedral metal centers linked by μ-Oaryloxide and μ3-Oaryloxide bridges. The crystals of [Na432-ddbfo)4(CH3CN)4] are composed of centrosymmetric cubic molecules. The crystal structure determination of compound [Zn2(μ,η1-ddbfo)2Cl2(py)2] shows it to be a centrosymmetric dimer, in which two ZnCl(py) units are linked by μ-Oaryloxide oxygen atoms of η1-ddbfo ligands.
