Dolichyl phosphate derivatives with a fluorescent label at an internal isoprene unit

Abstract

A general approach based on directed aldol condensation followed by reductive amination with fluorescent amines and phospho-rylation was developed and illustrated by the synthesis of two dolichyl phosphate derivatives with the 1-aminonaphthalene fluoro-phore at the γ-isoprene unit of the chain.
