Abstract

The synthesis and characterisation of AB2 hyperbranched homopolymers prepared from N-methacryloyl-1,2-diaminoethane hydrochloride and a series of AB2 copolymers derived from different molar ratios of acryloyl- and methacryloyl-1,2-diaminoethane hydrochlorides are described. The reactivity and properties of these materials are contrasted with those previously reported for AB2 and AB2/Bn hyperbranched systems based on N-acryloyl-α,ω-diaminoalkane hydrochloride monomers.
