Model of oscillatory patterns in cells: autocatalysis and transport [italic v (to differentiate from Times ital nu)]ia the cell membrane

Abstract

We propose a generic nearly integrable model predicting the oscillatory pattern formation in cells due to the interplay of the autocatalytic reaction step in the cytoplasm and the enzyme-catalyzed reactant transport through the membrane.
